CETC AIS EPIRB VEP8A – Emergency Position Indicator Radio Beacon
The CETC AIS EPIRB VEP8A Emergency Position Indicator Radio Beacon is a must-have safety device for anyone who spends time on the water. It is easy to use and can be deployed in seconds. Once deployed, the EPIRB will transmit a distress signal that can be detected by search and rescue vessels up to 400 miles away.
The CETC AIS EPIRB VEP8A also features a built-in AIS transceiver. This allows it to be tracked by search and rescue vessels equipped with AIS receivers. This is a valuable feature, especially in remote areas where traditional search and rescue methods may not be effective.
The CETC AIS EPIRB VEP8A is powered by a long-life lithium battery that will last for up to 48 hours on a single activation. It is also waterproof to a depth of 10 meters.
