The Voyage Data Recorder (VDR), commonly known as the black box, records various navigation information. The Headway HMT-100A Voyage Data Recorder – VDR represents a next-generation Voyage Recorder System designed to enhance maritime safety and facilitate informed decision-making.
This IMO-approved system meticulously captures and stores vital navigation data, offering invaluable insights for risk mitigation, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance. Its compact design, robust construction, and cutting-edge features make it an ideal choice for vessels of all sizes, ensuring the safety of your crew and investment. The Main Cabinet Unit, with a power of 20W and no ventilation fans, remains closed, preventing dust entry.
The system records data for the past 720 hours (30 days), including VGA images in 4 lines, 61162 signals in 24 lines, voice from the bridge in 6 lines, and VHF audio in 2 lines. All spare parts are independently developed and produced by the Headway factory, ensuring high quality at a competitive price, with a global service network.
The power module is internally installed, applicable to 220V/110V 50Hz/60Hz and marine electrical systems. It automatically switches to marine backup power of 24V if the main power fails, with an internal battery providing power once marine emergency power is off. The maintenance-free battery has a usage life of around 3 years, recording voice data for 2 hours continuously.
